A weeklong vacation in LA over my 28th birthday. Also a way for us to get used to the area and scout out neighborhoods for our upcoming move. All shot on disposable camera.

It’s wild looking back at my first real experiences figuring out Los Angeles after being here now for practically a decade. I was forming isolated neighborhood maps in my mind that would go on to become the full understanding of the city I have today. Getting used to the plants, the weather, the traffic, the sprawl, the whole atmosphere… I couldn’t wait to move out here for good.

We had a few missteps, but it was great to see friends and know that others had made the trip and would be here for us too. Katie and I were so excited to make this place our home. Happy 28th birthday to me!
